About Jeanne Tan

SEO Consultant and Founder of Sales To Search SEO

I help clients start selling even before they rank on search or get thousands of followers — using a Sales-to-Search framework I’ve developed and am actively testing on my own business.

I’m an SEO consultant who got very good at ranking pages fast. And I mean fast — within a week or less, in some cases. Then I lost one of my biggest clients. And that loss changed everything about how I work.

Jeanne Tan, Digital Marketing Strategist with 15 years of experience.

How I Got Here (The Unfiltered Version)

I started my digital marketing career in 2010 as a content writer for a test prep company based in Canada. That role grew into something much bigger than writing, and for over 11 years. I became a marketing manager for their MCAT and DAT prep markets across the US and Canada, then shifted into managing marketing and project operations for their GAMSAT preparation courses in Australia, the UK, and Ireland.

That chapter gave me a deep foundation in inbound content marketing, social media, email strategy, paid ads, and cross-market campaign execution. It also gave me something less common: a business operator’s understanding of what marketing is actually supposed to do. Not generate impressions. Generate revenue.

When I resigned in 2021, I went all-in on SEO.

The Obsession Phase

For years after that, I became consumed by the technical side of search. I studied Semantic SEO under one of the most respected minds in the field, Koray Tugberk Gubur. I also took high-level courses from top industry leaders such as Jason Barnard, Kristina Azarenko, and Lazarina Stoy. I spent nights reading Google’s search patents — not because it was easy, but because patents are strategy straight from the source. No interpretation needed.

And it worked. I could rank pages in a week or less. I had a client cited in Google’s AI Overviews back when the feature first launched in 2023, back when it was still called SGE. They were competing in the top 3 against major industry players and winning.

Then in early 2025, I lost them.

The Sales Sales-to-Search™ Framework

The Sales-to-Search™ framework is a methodology that treats search as a sales pipeline. It works at the intersection of three pillars: Search Foundations, Sales Funnel Alignment, and Brand Positioning.

Sales Funnel Alignment Box

I treat the search journey as a sales pipeline, but I build it in reverse. Most SEO campaigns start at the top of the funnel, casting a wide and sometimes costly net for “awareness” traffic and hoping a tiny fraction of those visitors eventually buy. I use an inverted approach. I start at the exact point of conversion and work backward. We lock in your core digital footprint first, ensuring your offer messaging speaks directly to people who are already in motion, already looking for what the client provides, already closer to a decision than they realize. Once that bottom-of-the-funnel foundation is machine-readable and primed to convert, we expand outward to capture broader search intent and build a community of loyal customers. Every piece of content, every internal link, and every Schema property maps to a deliberate stage in this decision process. SEO divorced from sales intent is just traffic generation with a ranking dashboard.

Search Foundations

I build brand architectures that AI-powered search engines — Google, Bing, and the emerging LLM search layer — can read, understand, and surface as authoritative answers. This means entity SEO, Knowledge Graph construction, topical authority mapping, and structured data implementation.

Brand Positioning

Modern search is increasingly personalized. Google surfaces results based on a user’s engagement history — meaning the businesses that show up first for your ideal customers aren’t always the ones with the highest domain authority. They’re the ones those customers have already encountered and engaged with. The Sales-to-Search framework accounts for this, integrating strategic social presence as part of search positioning.

Programs and Community

I don’t believe business owners need to master SEO. That’s my job. But I do believe they need to understand how it works — enough to make strategic decisions, ask the right questions, and build a presence that doesn’t collapse every time Google updates an algorithm.

That’s the philosophy behind everything I offer outside of one-on-one consulting.

ProSales To Search SEO Mastermind For Entrepreneurs

A tiered community hosted on Skool where I coach entrepreneurs on strengthening their web presence through a business lens — not a technical checklist. The VIP tier includes consulting and coaching, with a done-for-you component on website optimization work. The done-with-you aspect is intentional: social media, PR, and personal branding require your authentic voice, not mine.

The Google Me 30-Day Challenge

A structured challenge within the Sales-To-Search SEO Mastermind Skool community specifically for solopreneurs and founder-led businesses who feel overwhelmed the moment someone says “SEO.” This challenge strips away the jargon and walks you through the foundations of modern SEO with the Sales-to-Search framework built in so that you’re building toward sales, not just search visibility.

In the SEO and Tech Communities

I was selected as a mentor for the 10th Cohort of the Women in Tech SEO (WTS) Mentorship Programme — a competitive programme that accepts mentors twice per year in support of women and non-binary professionals building SEO careers.

I’m a member of the Marketing and Communications team for WordCamp Philippines 2026, contributing to the largest WordPress community event in the country.

I spoke at WordCamp Malaysia 2023 and at WordCamp Asia 2024 — the flagship annual WordCamp event — with recordings available on WordPress.tv.
